Mikayla Gallagher Attacks for One of Her Many Kills at the AAU National Tournament.

The 17-1's went to the AAU National Tournament in Orlando, Florida to represent Wicked Moose Volleyball in their first year as a club and they did a phenomenal job.  They came out strong the first day and dominated as they took first in their pool by defeating Elevation-Sports Express Shroedder and Premier VBC 17-Black.

They continued their success to start day two by defeating McDonough Magic 17-1 (25-17, 25-11).  Luck was not with the Moose during their next two matches with Eastside 17-1 and KAEPA Southwest 17-Blue.   After losing the first set to Eastside 15-25, Wicked Moose got back on track and took the second set 25-17, but would eventually lose the match in the third set, 14-16.  Wicked Moose still had a chance to take first in the pool if they defeated KAEPA Southwest, a team that hadn't lost a match the entire tournament.  Wicked Moose lost the first set 20-25 and were up 24-22 and appeared to have won the set off a Serena Schubert kill, but a questionable four contact call was given by the up ref.  Wicked Moose lost the set 24-26 and the match to drop to third in the pool.

After watching Richmond Volleybal Club 17-1 dominate the other teams in their pool on day three, the Moose would take them on for first in the pool.  Wicked Moose came out strong and didn't stop pounding the ball down as they won (25-20, 25-8) to take first in the pool.

In their final match of the tournament, Wicked Moose lost to a tough Cincy Classics 17-Black team.  Despite an early exit on the final day, the Wicked Moose 17-1's had a great tournament overall as they finished 57th out of 134 teams.
